Quito, Ecuador via Peru to Uyuni salt flats in Bolivia, a little cycle, simple. Except, we have no support vehicle, we have to carry all our equipment on the bikes, there is the small issue of the Andes in the way, the majority of the route is at an altitude of 3000m + with passes over 4500m, temperatures below -15, wild rabid dogs, living off only guinea pigs, 3 day stints without water or food, off-road, waist deep rivers, no nail polish for Amanda and only 3 weeks to plan due to Will's inability to decide on which adventure would be 'challenging enough'. If you would like to support us, please visit the fundraising page on this blog. We are supporting a fantastic charity called SOS childrens villages which helps children all over the world to be brought up in a family environment which we have been lucky enough to take for granted.

Fund raising

Hello and a big welcome to our Pledging Page!

We are delighted to be able to support 'SOS Childrens Villages', a well established charity around the world with a unique concept of creating familes of orphaned children.  Having been very much impressed and humbled by some of the villages whilst living in India, we aim to directly raise funds for a couple that we will be visiting en-route in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.  For more information on the charity, please see here.

To add to the challenge and also because we don't yet know exactly how far we will get, we have set the pledging form below for donations to be linked to our collective pedalled kilometres.... Therefore, if you pledge 1p/km and we both cycle 4,000 of them, then your total donation would be 80 pounds.

Note the pledge form is set to UK pence - input any number or fraction - but final payment can be made from any currency :).  When we have finished the challenge we will collect the money using an established charity collection site such as justgiving.com.  We will ensure that every penny goes to the charity by covering all costs involved ourselves.

Please do contact us if you would like more info on the process, otherwise THANKYOU / GRACIAS for giving us a metaphorical push to make sure we pedal every possible kilometre!

PLEASE ONLY SUBMIT ONCE, IT MAY TAKE SOME TIME TO SHOW IN TABLE BELOW.  ANY PROBLEMS, DROP US AN EMAIL!
